CHAPTER 9

Ahh! What is this, we came to refresh ourselves and look at what has happened. Betty was speaking to herself as she wept and cried uncontrollably for her husband. Sedrick drove the car and at the same time trying to console Betty. Please, stop crying, Jayson Is well okay. Upon their arrival in the hospital the nurses came with a stretcher. Jayson was taken to the emergency ward to treatment. The doctors attended to him for three hours. After the initial treatment, he was referred to the intensive care unit for further treatment.

Shortly after the attack, the criminals called Tara on the phone to inform her that the operation was successful. Tara went to for her brother's spare keys to his room. She opened Jayson's wardrobe and she pulled out his briefcase containing the two million dollars. She kept it in her room secretly without telling anyone.

A few moments later, Betty returned from the hospital with tears in her eyes. She informed Tara about how Jayson was attacked by some criminals. Tara, said what? Do you mean my only brother has been attacked by criminals? what is the meaning of this things. Betty, you are a witch. Ever since you came into my brother’s life, things have deteriorated until you eventually organized people to kill him. Look at what you have done. This is very dangerous. I don't want to hear these things in my ears. Now get out of my sight before I slap you. Tara threatened Betty. The sorrows of Betty were increased as she is being driven away by the people who supposed to console her.

Tara picked her phone to inform her parents about Jayson's attack. Her mother was very disturbed, she traveled to the hospital to visit him. The condition of Jayson was so critical that for six months he could not speak. Betty and her mother in law stayed with him in the hospital for this whole period. Occasionally, Sedrick comes around to check on Betty and the recuperation of Jayson. Six months later, the doctors informed Betty that they tried the possible best but her husband cannot recover. That sounded like a bomb shell in the ears of Betty. What? Doctor, do you mean that my husband Jayson has become an invalid. I am sorry, but that is the substation. He has sustained brain damage and lost all the supporting bones in the neck. The only thing that can remedy the situation is a miracle. Let's hope that God will intervene in his situation.

In the next few minutes, you should take him out of the hospital. Oh, this is the most pathetic message that Betty had ever wanted to hear in her life. Jayson has become an invalid. Well, I will continue to pray and hope perhaps one-day God will heal him. I can't cope with this. I wish I am dead than to witness this situation. Betty has stopped working because of the accident that had happened to her husband. This is too much for me.
